Target designs products at modest prices and they are now using designers to reinvent products. A new medicine bottle has been designed to ensure safety, and an easy way to open it. The medicine bottle ClearRX was designed by Deborah Adler while she was still a student at New York School of Visual Arts.
The new medicine bottle has easy to read labels, it is color coded and a removable information card.
This is one example of a student coming up with a solution and a design for a large company. Other success stories include how Nike paid $35 to a Portland State art student for its Swoosh. Also Maya Lin designed the Vietnam memorial as a student.
